DCE completed the detail design, project management and construction supervision for Pentridge Boulevard and Sydney Road, Coburg. Pentridge Boulevard is a single lane divided Council Road (plus on street parking) which has provided the western connection with Sydney Road and the essential link for the road network for the redevelopment of Pentridge Village and surrounding areas.
DCE's brief included three new intersections:
- Pentridge Boulevard and Sydney Road, Coburg (signalised)
- Pentridge Boulevard and Urquhart Street, Coburg (un-signalised)
- Pentridge Boulevard and Bell Street, Coburg (signalised)
DCE recently completed the detail design for both the Pentridge Boulevard and Urquhart Street intersection and the Pentridge Boulevard and Bell Street intersection for Moreland City Council. When constructed these final two intersections will complete the southern connection with Bell Street providing access to the entire length of Pentridge Boulevard between Sydney Road and Bell Street.
All three intersections required relocation of major existing infrastructure to the satisfaction and approval of Moreland City Council, VicRoads, Yarra Trams and all Service Authorities.
