Third Street’s Oak Terrace is a 42 townhouse development located in Wheelers Hill.

Oak Terraces’ refined two and three-storey homes preside over established gardens with ambient outlooks, all centred around a statuesque 70-year-old oak tree. In order to protect the existing Oak trees, ‘Tree Protection Zones’ were established and the existing surfaces within these zones could not be disturbed.

Floor levels were set in accordance with planning requirements. In some cases, townhouses across the road from one another had a 1 level difference. DCE designed the road to provide a one way crossfall to reduce the level difference and retaining walls in locations where the difference was greater. The one way crossfall reduced the amount of drainage crossings which allowed for a more efficient drainage design.
