DCE was proud to be involved in the City of Ballarat's $8.6 million Regional Soccer Facility at Morshead Park. DCE's involvement included the design and tender documentation of the FIFA 1 star synthetic pitch in addition to a multipurpose "street soccer" synthetic pitch.

The FIFA 1 Star synthetic pitch has the capacity to be used during all weather conditions including its use for intensive training sessions during the week, whilst providing a high-performance facility for weekend competition.

The street soccer pitch is now utilised by The Big Issue Australia's Community Street Soccer Program which uses sport as a mechanism to engage homeless and marginalised people and promote social inclusion. The Street Soccer program involves males and females, from 16 years of age, with all abilities getting together once a week for soccer activities and matches. It values participation over football skills and competition, engaging people who in many cases have given up on counselling and traditional support systems and services.
