28 Jones Rd, Brooklyn is a container stacking yard comprising of 50,000sq.m. of concrete hardstand capable of storing 8500 shipping containers.

As part of the project, the delivery of extensive Melbourne Water drainage infrastructure was required. This included the construction of two large scheme drains up to 1900mm in diameter, the upgrade of the heritage listed Main Outfall Sewer (MOS) and the construction of a sedimentation pond to treat stormwater flows prior to discharging into the Kororoit Creek.

A key element of the project involved converting the abandoned MOS into a Melbourne Water stormwater drain. This involved extensive investigations into the rehabilitation of the 130 year old MOS, consultation with Melbourne Water and Heritage Victoria.
