A key element of DCE’s work on MAB Corporation’s University Hill mixed use development was the design and construction of both the Plenty Road Intersection at McKimmie Road and Janefield Drive and the Western Ring Road Off Ramp to Plenty Road.
The Plenty Road intersection at McKimmie Road and Janefield Drive was essential to the efficiency of traffic flow through the new development as this formed the main entrance to the University Hill Township. Given the scale if this development the Plenty Road Off Ramp has provided an easier and more direct method of accessing the township.
The two new intersections on the six lane Plenty Road involved new signals, tram superstops and VicRoads approval. These were all managed, designed and supervised by DCE.
