Last week, DCE had the privilege of welcoming Scott Darlow, an Aboriginal singer-songwriter, storyteller, and educator from Yorta Yorta country, to our office.
Scott shared his moving personal journey, captivating music, and the powerful “FLUTE” message: Forgiveness, Love, Understanding, Tolerance, and Empathy. His generosity in sharing his story, combined with heartfelt music and vulnerability, left a profound impact on everyone who attended.
Through his storytelling and key messages, Scott reminded us how even the smallest acts of kindness can create meaningful change and foster understanding and connection. His session encouraged reflection on the diverse perspectives surrounding the Australia Day public holiday and inspired us to approach this time with empathy and respect.
A heartfelt thank you to Scott for his generosity, courage, and authenticity in sharing such an inspiring and thought-provoking session. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from him and carry forward the lessons of FLUTE in our lives and work.
