The $44 million Aitken Boulevard extension between Donnybrook Road and Mt Ridley Road in Mickleham is now complete and open to traffic.
This 3.2 kilometre stretch provides Merrifield residents and businesses with a faster and more reliable connection into Craigieburn in as little as six minutes. It also improves access to key services and destinations including Craigieburn Central, Craigieburn Train Station, Hume Anglican Grammar, Mount Ridley College and Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre.
DCE were proud to deliver end to end civil engineering services for this important project. Our work included master planning, design development, servicing strategies, contract documentation, contract administration and construction management.
The extension is a vital piece of infrastructure that responds to the rapid growth of Melbourne’s north, delivering better connectivity, reduced travel times and stronger links for the community both now and into the future.
