To service the over 900Ha MAB Corporation / Gibson Property Corporation Merrifield development precinct and adjoining properties, DCE completed the investigation, design and contract administration for the Donnybrook Road Distribution Water Main for Yarra Valley Water Ltd.
The project involved 1100m of 375/450 MSCL distribution main and 300m of reticulation main including flowmeter and associated telemetry installations.
Some of the major challenges included coordination with the VicRoads Donnybrook Road / Hume Freeway interchange works. Around 300m of laser controlled bores through hard basalt across the Hume Freeway and Donnybrook Road was also required.
